A
collection of pet, breeder, and show quality kittens.
|
 |
| The
above is an attempt on my part to show how my pricing structure is derived
at. There are many factors involved in what determines a good breeder
or show cat. A good breeder is the cat that can bring what is needed
to a given program, and all show quality cats cannot be the big winner.
This is simply a rough guideline on how I price my kittens. The two
kittens described as pet quality are excellent kittens. The one on
the left has an outstanding head, body structure, and once out of the fuzzies
will have a silken coat with excellent lay out of pattern and with ink
black markings. I placed him in the pet quality category only because
he is not heavily rosetted. The kitten on the right has a beautiful
head, some very large rosettes, a wonderful tail, is whited, etc.
He is in that category only because he lacks contrast. He is orange
on orange. Either of these kittens could be wonderful breeders in
the right program. My pet quality kittens are priced at $450 to $550
as pets, and at $1,200 as breeders to approved programs. |
 |
| In
the category described as breeder quality, the kitten on the left has a
stunning head, wonderful contrast and is possibly my favorite of all the
kittens I have ever bred. She would probably have shown quite well.
Her brother who looked similar took Best Bengal and 4th Best Cat (all breed)
at the Salt Lake TICA show. However I placed her here because her
spots are not huge, and she is not heavily rosetted. She was never
for sale at any price. The kitten on the right has huge rosettes,
and is an awesome kitten, but lacks contrast, and has some ticking in the
background which resulted in her placement here instead of in the show/breeder
category. My breeder quality kittens are priced at $600 to $700 when
available as pets. They are $1,500 to $1,700 as breeders when available
to approved programs. |
 |
| The
two kittens pictured as show/breeder quality kittens will have satin coats
once out of the fuzzies, along with exciting patterns, rosetting, and contrast.
These kittens are rarely available as pets, but are $800 as pets when available.
My show/breeder quality kittens are $1,800 to $2,500 as breeders to approved
programs, when available. |
 |
| I
get many inquires wanting to know "How much are your kittens?" Hopefully
the above information will give some assistance as to how my price is derived. |
